Welcome to Rather Be in Finland – an online store where the peace of Finnish nature, the joy of cottage life, and the love for personal space meets stylish t-shirts.

This online store was inspired by my Finnish-language store, Mun Paita(my shirt)(Munpaita.fi), where cottage-themed and nature-celebrating prints have won the hearts of Finns—especially favorites like "Mieluummin olisin mökillä" (I’d Rather Be at the Cottage) and "Syntynyt saunomaan" (Born to Sauna). Now, I want to share that same joy with anyone who loves the Finnish way of life, even if they don’t speak Finnish.

For me, Finland is more than just a homeland—it’s a place where I feel at home because I can breathe fresh air and enjoy true silence. The green forests, crystal-clear lakes, and sense of space make everyday life lighter. The feelings of safety and privacy run deep here—and these are exactly the values I aim to highlight through our products.

This ensures that there is no surplus inventory of unsold products.

Our products are printed and shipped from within the EU, guaranteeing fast delivery and high quality.

All of our apparel meets the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, an internationally recognized standard ensuring that textile products are safe for the user. This certification guarantees that the product is free from harmful chemicals and meets strict environmental and health standards.

Certified products undergo testing in independent laboratories, covering both raw materials and final products. The OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification provides consumers with confidence that the product is both safe and environmentally friendly.

T-Shirts

Our t-shirts are premium quality, Gildan-branded, and made from 100% pre-shrunk, ring-spun, and combed cotton for maximum comfort and durability. T-shirts have a tubular structure without side seams and feature double seams on the shoulders for added strength and a perfect fit.

The materials retain their shape wash after wash and meet OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 requirements.

The prints are made using DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing, where the design is printed directly onto the fabric rather than sitting on top. This method ensures the print remains breathable and not stiff or uncomfortable.

Care Instructions:

• Wash inside out at 30/40°C for best results.

Follow these tips to keep your shirts looking the same as when you purchased them:

• Wash your tee inside out (this will help prevent damage to the design)
• Wash your garment in cold water
• Use a mild detergent
• Tumble dry on low or allow the clothing to air dry

Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing 

This printing method is used for printing on clothing, and the process itself resembles digital printing on paper. Using this technique, pigmented water-based inks are applied to the garment’s surface and are absorbed by the product’s fibers.

• You must notify us within 30 days if you wish to return the shirt at support@ratherbeinfinland.com.
• No refunds will be issued after 30 days from the purchase date.
• Incorrect, damaged, or defective items are eligible for a full refund.

At Rather Be In Finland, we strive to provide excellent customer service and resolve any issues that may arise. This policy outlines our guidelines and procedures regarding chargebacks initiated by customers. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the following provisions:

a. If you encounter any issues with your purchase, we strongly encourage you to contact our customer support team first.

b. Our customer support representatives are dedicated to resolving any concerns or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.

c. We believe that open communication and collaboration can often lead to a satisfactory resolution without the need for a chargeback.



2. Chargeback Fees:

a. In the event that a chargeback is initiated without prior contact with our customer support team or is deemed to be frivolous or fraudulent, we reserve the right to charge a chargeback fee to cover administrative and processing costs.

b. The chargeback fee amount will be communicated to you before it is charged, and it will be deducted from any refund amount, if applicable.



3. Chargeback Validity:

a. A chargeback is an option provided by your financial institution to dispute a transaction and request a refund.

b. It is important to note that initiating a chargeback without prior contact with our customer support may lead to delays in resolving your issue and can negatively impact our ability to provide quality service.



4. Chargeback Investigation:

a. Upon receiving a chargeback notification, we will be notified by our payment processor or financial institution.

b. We will conduct a thorough investigation into the transaction, including reviewing order details, communication history, and any supporting documentation provided by both parties.

c. As we are beholden to timelines provided by issuing banks, the investigation process may take up to several weeks. We appreciate your patience during this time.



5. Resolution and Refunds:

a. If the chargeback is deemed valid and supported by sufficient evidence, we will comply with the decision made by the financial institution.

b. If the chargeback is resolved in our favor, any refund issued by us will be reversed, and the original transaction will be reinstated.
